Track Name: Said Forecast
A hard wind blows from the east now-a-days
But the weather man says it’s not gonna rain at all
But everybody knows when the white clouds turn to grey
A hard rain is liable to fall

The paper says there’s one million dead
The garbage man says that’s old news as he watch the paper shred
The TV host with his reassuring smile
Saying things’ll all be fine after awhile

People sayin’ stay out of the sun and rain
The air we breathe is turning into smog
If everybody thinks that their way’s the only way
Weather man says a heavy chance of fog

Cause people keep on sayin’ what they’ll say
Cause everything’s got a side to see from every different way
And the people keep on doin’ what they’ll do
Cause all you’ve done is what you do by the time the day is through
And the TV host with his reassuring smile
Sayin’ things’ll all be fine after awhile

After all is said and saying things is out of date
What’s left to do but find the true in the things that as of late
Have fallen to the wayside of the things that we have said
Which meant so much more to us than all the things in our own heads

Cause what’s a man to do when all he’s seen
Has all been laid before his eyes and written like a dream
And what’s a man to do when all he’s done
Is all history that’s been done by everyone
And if the weather man says a heavy chance of rain
It don’t mean the rain won’t pour on just the same.
Track Name: Les Choses Des Rêves
The rain
It falls on the roofs of the houses where we sleep
And though we’re miles from each other
We still count the same white sheep

I see you in my dreams
Floating on clouds 1 to 9
Only there we are free from reality and time

When I wake up I see an image of you painted on my wall
And when I try to touch it I find out it isn’t there at all
And I see that’s it’s all a dream to me
When i’m in love with you it seems dreams really can come true

And now we walk through the real world as if we were in dreams
The line is blurring in between them the more I love you
Now it seems that...

I see you all the time floating on clouds 1 to 9
Now it’s here we are free
Free to love just as we please
Free to live just as we please
Track Name: The Floors Won't Scrub Themselves
The dust collecting shelves are nearly bare
The laundry piles high both here and there and
The mantle-piece holds time so long now passed
From days when all these dreams still seamed to pass
When actions held rewards and life seemed purposeful
When pens were strong as swords
And the glass was not half empty but half full
Oh no, oh no

The clumps of dirt and hair collecting in the corners
Won't warrant a blank stare when no one is around
When the bells have ceased their ringing and the sounds have ceased their singing
And all the people that you know are rotting down below
The floors won't scrub themselves will they?
Track Name: Different Hair, Different Shoes
Time shapes us like a most skilled sculptor from the clay of life
And the years define details and form the tales we’ll tell our children
When we’re old and they’re young like we were

Lives weave in between each other strangely
Never how they’d seem
And the friends that you once knew
They’re still the same friends just wearing different shoes

Life can seem so big like it’ll crush you with it’s load
So many people playing out this plot we watch unfold
But notice how the dots connect so easily sometimes
With just six degrees that separate me from all these friends of mine

Someday i’ll see you somewhere
Sitting by a bus stop growing different hair
And i’ll cry and i’ll think back
To golden days that we’ve now passed

Because time shapes us like a most skilled sculptor from the clay of life
Track Name: 85% Of Songs Are Love Songs
I’ve loved you
And I’ve been so confused
How I can love you
And yet feel so abused
How can I stay here
With all the time still to come
How can I love you if
I have never loved anyone

I believe it
I don’t believe you could lie
Even to save me
You’d rather let me cry
And make me stronger
Make me a better man
I know you’ve loved me
Or at least you’ve done the best that you can

I love you
I’m sorry it took so long
But I just realized as I wrote this song
How I could love you
Without a real reason why
Because I love without my even having to try

And as our wrinkles increase
Just like the rings on a tree
I’ll think about all of the wisdom that you’ve given to me
And I’ll think back to the times
And all the fun that we had
And i’ll be glad that I spent it with you.

Becuase I love you
I’m sorry it took me so long
But I just realized as I wrote this song
How I could love you
And if they ask me why i’ll say
“Because I don’t even have to try”
Track Name: I Miss My Home
I miss my home and I haven’t even left yet
I’m leaving the sunrise for the place where the sun sets
It’s time to say goodbye but i’ve forgotten how to cry
And I wonder, “Why has my eye been dry for so long?”

I’m riding this road that i’ve ridden many times before
But I won’t ride this road many times anymore
That doesn’t mean I won’t keep the memory
Safe with me in a briefcase of my own history

Death’s made a cold blade and cut my heart in two
But it’s time to peel the band-aid and time to love again

Home

Let go of my fears
I want to feel
Let go of my tears
I’m too quick to heal
Track Name: A Single Grain Of Sand
When you were just a girl the stars would fall into your hands
The universe and galaxies would yield at your command
From grassy fields and fallen leaves to ocean shores and glens
A single grain of sand could hold the wonders of the world
To you, to you

With time your hair grew to the ground and foxes, mice, and birds
Became your closest friends without the need for clocks and words
The earth it was your playground and the things of it your toys
So limitless seemed all of life and with it all it’s joys

But people saw you smiling
And all happiness sincere
Can never be rewarded
For it brings most people tears
So they took you and they taught you
How to read and write and learn
And the weight of all man’s knowledge held you down with it’s concerns

Still through the days of books and bags a shining light still glowed
In every blade of grass that through the hard cement did show
And when no one was looking and a spare hour arose
You’d climb the highest hill and watch the daylight curtain close

Then as you learned to live the lie and learned to love the news
The magic of your childhood seemed worthwhile to lose
What good can come from fantasy says the present to the past
It only puts aside what will already too soon pass

So if you’re feeling lonely in this world so densely packed
Remember how you used to live if you can still think back
To grassy fields and fallen leaves and ocean shores and glens
When a single grain of sand still held the wonders of the world
To you, to you
Track Name: Darling, Where Did Our Love Go?
And I cried when you told me he was the one
And I cried myself to sleep everynight for a week
I wondered how somebody else could love you more than I did
And then I thought of the love that we shared

And I wondered
And I wondered
And I wondered

And I wandered the night wrapped in thoughts of the past
When it seemed then for awhile that these dreams they would pass
But they stay and they haunt me
Like dreams of love so often do
And I don’t know what to say or think
Or could it be you always were the one

And I wondered
And I wondered
And I wondered
Track Name: The Dawning Morning
The dawning of the morning brings the new rays of the sun
We’re all rising and prophecizing about the new day that has yet to come

But don’t you see you can never know where the complex flow of life will go
And how the wave of a hand or the blink of an eye can change the course of time
Track Name: Antarctica / The End Of A Great Cycle
I can’t see no shelter
I can’t see no place to hide from the storm
Shoreline slowly rising
Dry land getting hard to find

There were these clues
Warnings written on the walls for us to find
Left behind by a people time forgot

What did they know?
How could they see what we were blind to
With all of our research and technology?

Now the time’s come to dance in this great ballet
To play our part in this play
The cosmic orchestra is nearing the coda
Let’s pray.
